I've sailed out of Charleston twice now. So glad there's a port close to home since I hate driving or riding long distance. Charleston is just a skip and hollar! Just wish they would offer more destinations.

We left Charleston S.C. First stop Aruba. Absolutely the best stop. The ocean is clear aqua and the Town was pleasant. Second stop Bon Aires. I took a lot of pictures of Flamingos in the wild. We went on a Tour, and we bought some Local Liquor, ( Rum ). The third stop was Grand Turk. A lot of stores to shop. Very Nice. Fourth stop Princess Cays. Very Private island. We spent hours on the beach in the Hot sun. I went snorkeling. The fish swim right up to your feet. Beautiful island. Must see Vacation!!!

Incredible family experience! This will be our first choice when we do a boat cruise again. The boarding process was seamless, and there were countless activities and events on and off the ship everyday, whether for kids, couples, adults or family specific. The wifey and I even got to participate in a game show for couples 😁. We had a blast!

Worst cruise ever on the Carnival Sunshine from Charleston SC. Check in for cruise was a nightmare for everybody as they had computer problems and caused 2 to 4 hour delays for boarding. Ship was way over crowded for its size. Buffet was mediocre at best with too many people swarming all over the place at every meal time. Entertainment was so crowded that you couldn't even get in to see a show most of the time. I have on at least 10 cruises and this was by far the worst ever. The cabin staff and most of other staff were wonderful though. If you don't buy a drink package or brought your own drinks you are stuck drinking bad tasting lemonade and worse iced tea for the whole trip. Casino is smoked filled with people just standing in there smoking and not gambling. Can't take it for more than 15 minutes. They need to do something about this.

The cruise was amazing! Boarding and check in was super easy. I was nervous that I would have issues with ID but everything went well.

Some how I had expectations of something other than a dirty old warehouse but they ran a pretty efficient check in operation. It's several steps involved, wear comfortable shoes. We got there early and was punished by a fill the parking lot from the back forward. So my $21 a day parking put me almost as far away as the lot allowed and a long walk to the building where check in really begins. I probably needed the extra steps. Once the hike was over an the check in building was reached, things really did move along pretty smoothly. They efficiently checked in a large number of people. All the folks involved were courteous pros... Did I mention wearing comfortable shoes?

The carnival cruise port in Charleston was cool it was our first cruise and we did our research to see what we could expect the process went a lot faster than we expected and it wasn’t too bad to be honest we expected it to be crowded but the workers moved us through fairly quickly.
